The Warrior’s Journey: What’s New?

For the last few weeks, I have been promising you a video.  But, I couldn't figure out how to put it into my post, and then fear took over.  My buddy called me on it last week, and I guess it is time.  Dang fear!  It always catches me when I think I have it beat.

In the face of fear...

I am working on some stuff behind the scenes.  It is all a little scary and exciting both at the same time.  I feel like I am slowly getting my act together.  What has taken me so long?  Well, the same thing that stops everyone else.  Fear! What if my video sucks?  What if no one watches it?  What if, what if, what if...?  Have you ever played that game in your head? Me?  More than I care to admit.

How many times until this fear thing goes away?

Probably never.  Honestly!  I have found that fear causes me to paralyze in my life.  It makes me not want to do anything.  It makes me get comfy  in my comfort zone.  It makes me stick my head in the sand and hide.  Fear is what cripples each of us.  But, here I am.  I am going to stretch out of my comfort zone and post the video anyway.  After all, I can never move forward if I stand still.

The absence of fear...

If we lived in the absence of fear, there would be plenty of people jumping from perfectly good airplanes.  We would never believe that we couldn't do something.  We all would be, well, fearless.  But, since we don't live in Utopia, we have to face our fears.  We have to keep moving forward even when we are afraid. Which is why I am facing a big one... my big face on video.  What else do I have to be afraid of?... Oh wait... heights.  Well, maybe next time.

CLICK ON THE BOX ABOVE!

But don't worry...

I will go first.  Here is my first video in the series.  I can't wait to see what you think!  Today, when you are faced with something that causes fear, remember, if I can put up a video for all to see, then you can face your fears, too!  What doesn't kill us makes us stronger!

Warrior Strong!
